One major variety of the 1894 Indian Head Cent (Penny) is the 1894 RPD Doubled Date error. This is best identified by noticing the doubled "94" on the 1894 date. This happened due to a repunched date or the date getting stamped on top of the same date. Note the subtle "94" appearing just to the right of the primary date as depicted by the arrows in the example image above.
