What This Coin Looks Like (Obverse, Reverse, Mint Mark Location, Special Features, etc.): There were two major varieties of the 1819 Capped Bust Quarter - The one pictured above is the Small 9 variety. One variety had a large "9" in the 1819 date and the other had a small "9". The best way to identify the difference is to notice the size of the "9" relative to the "1" in "19". The small "9" is relatively equal in height and level with the "1" whereas the large "9" is noticeably larger/taller and further away from the "1".
