1811 Capped Bust Half Dollar Varieties - Difference and Comparison
There were two major varieties with different styles of the 1811 date. One variety featured thinner numbers and a small number "8" in the date while the other variety featured thicker numbers and a much larger "8" in the 1811 date. The differences and comparisons between the two varieties is depicted above in the example image.

The other major variety is an 1811/10 overdate error - which features an 1811 date struck over an 1810 date. The most notable feature in this variety is a dot or period in the middle of the date between "18" and "11" - which resulted in what looks like 18.11 as depicted below in the example image. The dot is simply part of the underlying date:
