What This Coin Looks Like (Obverse, Reverse, Mint Mark Location, Special Features, etc.): "Tallgrass Prairie - Kansas"
In a surprise move and announced on April 6th of 2020: The US Mint is producing circulating quarters from the West Point Mint as they did in 2019. The 2020-W "Tallgrass Prairie" Quarter can only be found in circulation and they are quite rare with a maximum of 2 million to be produced. These coins will bear the "W" mint mark. The Mint did this with the purpose of generating excitement for coin collecting by introducing rare coins into circulation. These "W" quarters were mixed in with bags of coins minted from the Philadelphia and Denver Mint and will be found by lucky collectors who are keeping a close eye on their pocket change!
In addition: A small privy mark was added to the obverse of the coin. This privy mark displays "V75" inside an outline of the Rainbow Pool at the World War II Memorial in Washington DC. The meaning of "V75" is to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the US Victory in World War II - making this an extremely special coin.
