1803 Small 3 vs Large 3 Draped Bust Half Dollar Varieties - Difference and Comparison
There are two major varieties of the 1803 Draped Bust Half Dollar. One variety has a small "3" and the other has a large "3" in the 1803 date. The large "3" is noticeably larger and wider - especially the bottom half. The large "3" also has an additional serif on the top-left tip of the "3" whereas the small "3" is missing this serif.
