What This Coin Looks Like (Obverse, Reverse, Mint Mark Location, Special Features, etc.):One major variety is the 1875-S/CC Trade Silver Dollar. This variety features a San Francisco "S" mintmark struck over a Carson City "CC" mintmark. This coin can be identified by noticing a very subtle "CC" displayed around the "S" mint mark. The most prominent portion is the second letter "C" that shows up on the right side of the "S". A very small piece of the first letter "C" is sometimes seen on the left side of the "S". These features are depicted by the arrows in the example image above. Source of example image is courtesy of Heritage Auction Galleries.
