Hello Dave, from here in almost-tolerable Fort Worth, Texas! I received the Italian 10 Lire coin in today's mail, and on top of your great communications, I couldn't be happier with the coin. Many years ago in the mid 50's, Kraft Foods ran a kids-targeted "Coins from far-off lands" promotion, whereby they included a free foreign coin in bags of candy caramels. Once I was hooked, I had to send off a few week's allowance to get the folded cardboard world map with its die-cut placement holes to display the entire series, 60 different coins from some 40 countries. However, this particular coin was one of the holdouts I never captured, due to my self-defensive cessation of caramel consumption! To this day, I can't even look at a caramel of any kind without an evil surge in my digestive system!
