Well Packaged, AU seems about right despite some straight line creases and a secondary crease on the right side of the five. It’s like they were drawn from the bank, folded with the five on the outside, taken home and put away. A nice specimen where the minor signs of being issued you can imagine that it was carried by a depositor of the bank but never used in commerce. Nice addition to my collection as specimens of a short lived Bank Script in our monetary system that few even know existed.

Nice looking coin, fast service. This was a check the box coin. I have all the Mint Sets, Proof Sets, Silver Proof Sets and SMS Sets from 1959 to date, the 50th Anniversary High Relief Two Coin Set, the Kennedy Brothers Set, the four silver coin 50th Anniversary Set, last year’s Enhanced Set and this year’s Silver Reverse Proof Set but I needed the 1979 and 1981 Type 2’s to call it a “Complete” collection of silver and Clad Kennedy Halves. I have already found the 81 Type 2 so thanks for helping me complete this collection.

Another beautiful coin! Gold is a bit pricey but all I had was a couple recent bullion coins and a couple Commemoratives so I figured I should get at least one gold coin that was minted for circulation and this coin meets the bill. Looks real close to Uncirculated and it’s 165 years old...the perfect visual aid for teaching the grandkids about how our monetary system has changed. Thanks again for great coins at fair prices!
