The obverse, designed & engraved by T.H. Paget, features the bust of George the VI facing left. At the bottom of George's neck are the designer's initials "HP". On the outer periphery are the words "GEORGIVS VI D:G : REX ET IND : IMP :". The reverse, designed & engraved by Emanuel Hahn, features a fishing schooner under sail. The design was based on the famous Canadian racing schooner The Bluenose. Above the design the word "CANADA"and below the design is the denomination "10 CENTS". Off to the left of the front of the ship is the designers initial "H".
This coin is UNCERTIFIED and has had limited circulation - the coin has very little wear and all of the major and minor details are clear and bold (the legends and illustrations are sharp. (see photos).
