Here are 102 Lincoln Pennies from 1971 to 1996 that come straight from the US Mint. They are still in their original cellophane wrappers that are color coded as to mint (blue is P and red is D). All of them should grade out at MS 63 or higher. The year/mint contents of this lot is: 1971 P/D/S, 1972 P/D/S, 1974 P/D/S, 1975 P/D, 1976 P/D, 1977 P/D, 1979 P/D, 1984 P/D, 1985 P/D, and 1996 D. As the photos suggest, the coins come sorted. Also, each year/mint contains differing quantities; for instance, there is only one 1996 D but there are seven 1977 P coins.
If one were to calculate the total retail value of 102 MS 63 coins (per USACoinbook), it would amount to $39.91. Even more staggering is that PGGS indicates the total value of MS 63 coins at $396.00. (They show the value for some coins to be $4 and $5 each.) Further, if any grade out at better than MS 63, they would be worth much, much more. But you can have all 102 of them for only $8 (plus shipping).
I am nearing retirement and my daughter has no interest in coin collecting. When I am gone, my wife will probably wind up giving all of this away since she has no knowledge of how to go about disposing of it. Yes, it's trite, but "everything must go!"
