1450+ Indian Head Cents 1860-1909 Many w/Corrosion/ Problems- 4500+g NO RETURNS
NO RETURNS!
Huge Lot of 1450+ Indian Head Cents (I manually counted 1476, butt we will say no less than 1450 to be safe).
You will receive the exact 1450+ Lot of Indian Head cents shown in the photos.
As there are 3.1g per mint state Indian Head cent, it's safe to say they should average 2.9-3g each being circulated, some well circulated. At mint state weight, that correlates to about 145 Indian Head cents per pound.
Surface quality on these vary. Many are problem free. A lot of culls in the lot. Many have corrosion, PVC, green gunk/verdigris. Many, maybe most are UGLY. Not sugar coating these - they are what they are. Taper your expectations ... PLEASE.
Almost all of these coins are in the AG to F range except for the ones in the bags marked VF (30 coins) and XF (14 coins).
At $1200, this works out to about 80c per coin
The breakdown of the photos are as follows:
- 6 bags. The number at the bottom represents the hand count inside each bag. The end photos are with the same 6 bags on a scale with the scale tared to the weight of the baggy and the unit is grams. So in the 1st photo with the coins on the scale, you see the weight is 715g and the 235 number represents the coins in the bag. And 715g/235 coins equals 3.04g per Indian Head cent, so it jives. The next picture with the scale shows 710g and 233 coins so 710/233=3.04g per coin, and so on
- After the initial pictures of the 6 bags, the next picture shows coins dated 1860-1879 and there are 16 and 5 for 21 total coins dated 1860-1879. The reason for the separate 5 number is those coins are very worn, some with barely anything legible on the coin or just enough to confirm the date or date range (could be 186x for example).
- The next photo is 1860-1879 with the 15 count listed corrosion. This means HEAVY corrosion. There could be light corrosion on the previous batch butt these are separated as they are heavily corroded
- The next photo is XF and a count of 14. These have XF detail and could have some light corrosion, but I would say at least 9 or 10 are problem free and solid XF
- Then we have the VF and count of 30. Same thing - all are VF or VF Details, some will have corrosion, or other problems, maybe scratches or rim dings
If you have any questions, let me know BEFORE YOU BID OR COMMIT TO BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
