This is a replica of the 1792 Silver Center Cent, BUT without the silver center, that is marked 'COPY' on the reverse. There were a couple of designs including one that did contain a silver center plug. It is unknown as to how many Silver Center cents were made. This is a way of owning a replica of this rare coin for educational purposes. The replica is made of bronze and weighs 3.96+/- grams and measures 21.5+/- mm in diameter.
