Presenting an exceptionally rare 1803 Draped Bust Half Dime, featuring the elusive Small 8 variety also known as LM-1 (R.6) With a mintage of just 37,850, only 30 examples are estimated to have survived in all grades and are of the Small 8 type, making this coin a true numismatic treasure. This piece, toned with captivating hues of sea green on the obverse and sepia brown on the reverse, displays honest wear, characteristic of its age. This half dime boasts a PCGS population of 1 with only 20 finer, and a CAC population of just 1 with only 3 finer! The finest of which an AU58 PCGS CAC sold for $90,000 03/24. The rarity of this coin is further highlighted by the absence of any CAC auction records as can be expected except for at AU58.
