This is a replica of the 1804 Draped Bust Dollar, Heraldic Eagle Reverse, that is marked 'COPY' on the reverse. The 1804 Dollar was issued by the Philadelphia Mint with a lettered edge that read HUNDRED CENTS ONE DOLLAR OR UNIT. However, this specimen is dated 1804 but has a REEDED edge. It is unknown just how many dollars were struck in 1804 as some were dated 1803 as well. This is a way of owning a replica of this rare denomination for filling a spot in a collection, or for educational purposes. The replica is made of copper with a silver plating and weighs 22.80+/- grams. It is 37+/- mm in diameter.
