This item is an 1804 Draped Bust Heraldic Eagle Reverse Quarter Dollar Exonumia (non-standard issue) Fantasy Coin. It is not a replica or a reproduction of a standard-issue US Mint coin as the coin has a plain edge. Standard issue quarters of this design in 1804 were issued by the Philadelphia Mint but displayed a reeded edge. Only 6,738 specimens were minted during 1804. This is a way to own one of these very rare specimens for filling a hole in a collection or for educational purposes. The coin is made of copper with silver plating.
