This item is a 1815 Gold Half Eagle $5 Capped Bust To Left Exonumia Fantasy Coin. It is not a replica or a reproduction of a standard-issue US Mint coin as there is a separation between the stars on the right and left of the obverse. Standard-issue coins of this date/design had the stars run continuously around the top of the cap on the obverse. The coin is made of copper with gold plating.
