Although it often does not look like the N3 Variety on 1820 Coronet Large Cents is an 1820/19 overdate. N3 is often overshadowed by N1 and N2 were the "1" in "19" sticks out much more obviously in the "2" in "20" on the date. With N3 the most obvious marker to tell it as an overdate is the "1" in 1820 is farther to the left of the "8" than on any of the fifteen varities for the date. All overdates and large dates for 1820 feature an "R" in "LIBERTY" which has a straight tail.
