The iPhone photos of this G condition coin may not be sufficient to definitively show the variation.  Under 30x+ magnification however, the additional underlying thickness can be seen in both the upper and lower loops of the 6.  This is very similar to the USA CoinBook sample photo of the overstrike, but with overall lower coin condition.  A higher power coin microscope might reveal even more evidence.
