This item is a 1827 Gold Quarter Eagle $2-1/2 Capped Bust To Left Exonumia Fantasy Coin. It is not a replica or a reproduction of a standard-issue US Mint coin as the only coin of this date/design was smaller in diameter. This coin is larger in diameter than the standard-issue US Mint Quarter Eagles made from 1821 through 1827. The coin is made of copper with gold plating.
