This item is a 1838 Capped Bust Quarter Dollar Exonumia Fantasy Coin. It is not a replica or a reproduction of a standard-issue US Mint coin as the coin has the larger diameter of the 1815-1828 quarters. The diameter of the 1831-1838 quarters was slightly reduced to save money by the US Mints. The coin is made of copper with silver plating.
