This item is a 1839 Seated Liberty Dime Exonumia Fantasy Coin. It is not a replica or a reproduction of a standard-issue US Mint coin as the shield on the obverse is upright. In addition, this 1839 dated dime has drapery under the left elbow, and the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is missing from the reverse. Dimes issued in 1839 had slanted shields, NO drapery under the left arm, and had UNITED STATED OF AMERICA on the reverse. The coin is made of copper with silver plating.
