WB-102. RECUT 18. (1 HEAD DIE)
The digits, 18, are recut south; dramatic repunching shows above the serif of the 1 and the upper loop of the 8.
This head die is paired with two tail dies, one of which is severely cracked in later die states and
shows a small cud on a crack in the reverse shield (this coin).
This scarce repunched date variety has nice reflective fields and attractive rim toning.
