This is a reproduction of a 1853 Liberty Seated Half Dollar, that is marked 'COPY' on the reverse. The Liberty Seated Half Dollars were minted from 1839 to 1891. In 1853, the Philadelphia Mint only issued half dollars with arrows at the date. However, this reproduction is dated 1853 but is missing the arrows at the date making it an interesting specimen. The reproduction is made of copper with silver plating and weighs 12.61+/- grams. It is 29.5+/- mm in diameter.
