1854 Liberty Seated Dollar, 'COPY' Stamped on Reverse

This is a replica of an 1854 Liberty Seated Dollar that is marked 'COPY' on the reverse. The coin has a reeded edge like the standard-issue Mint coin. The Liberty Seated Dollar was minted from 1840-1873. The 1840-1865 dollars did not display the Motto IN GOD WE TRUST on the reverse. Dollars minted from 1866-1873 displayed the Motto on the reverse above the eagle. None of the standard Liberty Seated dollars displayed arrows at the date like other denominations. However, this specimen dated 1854 DOES display the arrors at the date on the obverse. The replica is made of copper with a silver plating and weighs 24.92+/- grams. It is 36.5+/- mm in diameter.
