CHERRYPICKERS' GUIDE ATTRIBUTION: **
OBV. Type of 56-3: The same obverse lettering as that on the1856 pattern cent.The opening of the letter O in OF is rectangular instead of round or oval. The serifs in the letters E and F are longer than on other 1857's.
Other Obv. Diagnostics: Thin denticles from 12:00 to 3:00.
REV. E: Thin denticles from 3:00 to 5:00. Left ribbon end connected to denticles. Center of left bow is unpolished while the right bow is polished.
