Here is a pre-Civil War 1857 P Flying Eagle Penny that has been graded by PCGS as G Detail because of some Rim Damage. I have examined the coin as much as possible (since it is in the holder), but cannot find any damage beyond what would be considered normal wear and tear for a coin. Thus, it seems to me that PCGS is holding to a technicality in refusing to give this a numerical grade. Nevertheless, it is what it is. For what it is worth, the front, like many other coins, seems to be misaligned with the reverse, but only very slightly. PCGS indicates that a G 4 coin would be worth $27 and USACoinbook warrants that if you were to purchase a G 4 coin from a dealer that you would pay approximately $38. However, you can have this graded coin for only $25 (plus shipping).
This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
To ensure delivery, this coin will be sent via Certified Mail.
Please note that the system is not structured to adjust the shipping charges unless I was selling several coins under a single listing. (I have not seen anyone on USACoinbook do this.) Thus, if you were to order multiple coins from me (each a different denomination/year/mint/grade/etc), you could be socked with what seems to be outrageous shipping costs. To overcome this, order all of the coins you want, but do NOT pay yet. I can then go in and adjust the invoice to bring the shipping costs to a more reasonable level. At this time you should pay me.
If paying by check or money order, this coin will be shipped once funds have cleared.
Thanks for looking.
