This is a replica of the 1858 Liberty Seated Dollar that is marked 'COPY' on the reverse. The coin has a reeded edge like the standard-issue Mint coin. The 1858 Dollar was issued by the Philadelphia Mint but only 300 coins were minted at this location, and they were all minted in PROOF condition. This is a way of owning a replica of this rare coin for filling a spot in a collection, or for educational purposes. The replica is made of copper with a silver plating and weighs 24.69+/- grams.
