ATTRIBUTION:
OBV. (6): Date level. The head die has a vertical die crack from the rim to the rock along the left side of the 6 in the date.
EDS only: many horizontal die lines along the dentils to the right of the date from K-4 to K-6
REV. (E): Large O mintmark extremely high and left.All die states: die crack along the base of the letters HALF DOL. and on LDS coins to the letters (AMERI)CA (photo). Another die crack connects (UNITE)D S(TATES).
VLDS (this coin): a radial die crack connects the dentil below (HAL)F D(OL) to the die crack along the base of the denomination.
This Confederate States of America (CSA) Issue (WB-103) has the diagnostic bisecting die crack through the date (left side of the 6).
It is in AU condition and untoned (silver-white patina). The reverse is a Very Late Die State (VLDS).
