Here's a lovely civil war token in excellent condition. These were produced by private entities for use in commerce due to a shortage of government-issued coinage. It is the same size as the contemporary Indian Head cents. It is dated 1863, and depicts George Washington on the obverse, with a handshake on the reverse and the words "PEACE FOREVER", symbolizing unity in a tumultuous time.
