1864 P (Copper Nickel) Indian Head Penny

Here is an 1864 P Indian Head Penny (minted during the Civil War) that has been graded by PCGS as G 6, almost good enough to justify a designation as a VG coin. Obviously, this coin has seen the insides of quite a few pockets over its 150+ year existence. It is also interesting to note that, unlike many coins, the front of this coin seems to be aligned perfectly with the reverse. PCGS (July/August 2021) indicates that a G 6 coin would be worth $24 and USACoinbook warrants that if you were to go to a dealer to purchase a G 4 coin that you would pay about $22; a VG 8 coin would run you about $33. However, you can have this graded coin for only $22 (plus shipping).

This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
