Very popular issue from a very shot type time period of just 3 years, this1866 Mo Mexico Peso Maximilian KM388.1 is just back from PCGS where it has been authenticated, encapsulated and graded PCGS VF30. A coin truly deserving of the problem free choice VF assigend grade, not too far removed from an XF grade level, this example is quite elegant and radiant, with steely gray patina accentuated in brassy and golden overtones featuring alluring burnished toning near the peripheries and circumnavigating the rim..
Very pleasing surface quality. About 50% of the original mint luster remains and the coin shows very minimal wear on both the obverse and reverse. Sweet original coin with loads of appeal.
