1866-S Tough Date Seated Liberty Half Dollar with Motto in a very desirable Choice XF to AU grade range. 

Very well struck example. Strong detail that is virtually all there. Bold Liberty and all shield lines are deep and well defined. The 13 obverse  six-sided stars around the circumference of the obverse are 3 dimensional and show very little wear.

All the feathers on the eagle are bold and bright. The shield in the center of the eagle's horizontal and vertical lines are complete even in the pesky top left corner which isd almost always the first area to show wear.

 This coin has splendid toning with a rustic patina and attractive tones of sapphire and aqua blended with hints of rose and gold
