Item Description
Details of Very Fine. Likely from the typical source for most circulated survivors of this better date, almost certainly dug out of the ground at some point. Some light random marks which should be visible in my images, however no corrosion or porosity. No obvious hairlines however I have to assume likely lightly cleaned at some point - if so it was a very long time ago as the color is close to normal now, a medium grey with some reddish undertones. A sharp Reverse with VF+ detail, the Obverse a bit weaker in the shield however the remaining detail matches a number of certified VF's I reviewed. CC's tend to be given a bit of a mulligan by the services anyway - this might pass on a good day however I have not bothered to try. Regardless, if you choose to send it in I will guarantee authenticity (contact me for my extended return privilege for certification if this is a concern). Should be reasonable for someone who wants a decent mid-grade specimen for an album set - sold as a Fine+. If it managed to pass muster at NGC or PCGS, this is a $1,250+ coin. Due to value this will require Insured shipping with Signature Confirmation, hence the S&H shown.
