1872 Indian Head Cent PCGS XF Detail Scratch Tough Key Date Rare In XF
The 1872 Indian Head Cent is one of the tougher dates in the series to find above the G level. Finding one in XF is quite scarce. This coin has beenauthenticated, encapsulated and graded by the industry's best, PCGS as PCGS XF Details, Scratch.
This coin has borderline AU detail with virtually 100% of the original design elements and devices, full bold LIBERTY with 100% complete upper and lower bands. The Indian head dress is complete and all other designs are pretty much 100% intact. There are a few areas of roughness on the surfaces down near the date and one or two other areas. The dark brown sienna patina is a testament to the originality of the surfaces. No hair lines, or any other signs of cleaning or manipulation. Aside from the obverse scratch, this is an amazing and quite rare specimen of a very tough date.
