This is a reproduction of a 1873-S Liberty Seated Half Dollar, that is marked 'COPY' on the reverse. The Liberty Seated Half Dollars were minted from 1839 to 1891. In 1873, the San Francisco Mint issued half dollars with and without arrows at the date. There were only 5000 half dollars that were minted without the arrows making this item a very nice addition to a collection or for educational purposes. The reproduction is made of copper with silver plating and weighs 10.74+/- grams. It is 30+/- mm in diameter.
