1875 "DOUBLE DIME" (20-CENT PIECE) BF-1 (PROOF DIES!!) HIGH GRADE!

The BF-1 Proof dies were used to mint this business strike.

This high grade specimen is proof-like (minted from proof dies) with nice light golden-champagne toning on the obverse

and highlights of azure-blue-gray, violet, russet toning on the reverse. Better 'in hand' than photos.

Obverse (1): The right side of the 1 in the date is right of the shield point. There are some die file marks just to the right of the shield, and

a small die line about halfway down the space between the 2nd and 3rd stripes on the shield.

Reverse (A): One die line runs diagonal down and to the right, just left of the eagle's tail feather.

There is a die line underneath the eagle's left (right facing) wing, to the right of its tail feathers.
