The 1875-S Above Bow is a much scarcer coin than one would deduce from price guides. In my estimation, it is outnumbered 6 to 1 by its Below Bow counterpart, and I find problem-free examples especially difficult to locate.
With good original color, substantial XF / AU detail, and some retained mint luster, this coin is pleasing enough, although not entirely without issues. There is one scrape across the wreath at 5:00 on the reverse.
A good filler until a better coin can be purchased, and priced accordingly.
