1875-S SILVER TRADE DOLLAR - AU+/UNC*
TYPE II Reverse
Large S (Breen-5793)
Type II reverse makes up only 10% - 20% of all 1875-S's minted.
ATTRIBUTION:
Type I Obverse: The banner inscribed LIBERTY ends in two points aimed left, and Liberty's right hand has only four fingers.
Type II Reverse: No berry within the eagle's left (viewer's right) claw. Diagonal die striations appear on both sides as made on the reverse through UNITED, the eagle's left (facing) side and neck.
Super nice AU+/UNC. with well-struck bright silver-white surfaces. Sharpness on all star centers, the wheat sheaves, and Liberty's exposed left foot, where all five toes are complete.
