1879-S Morgan Silver Dollar PCGS MS64 Beautiful Coin With PL/DMPL Reverse
1879-S Morgan Silver Dollar - Sharp coin with outstanding eye appeal.
Frosty white coin with almost no toning. Great contrast between the devices and field. The reverse is stunning and has amazing contrast with snow white, frosty eagle and lettering against deep, watery PL to DMPL fields. Unfortunately while the obverse has a little reflectivity and PL qualities, there is nowhere near strong enough mirrors or PL qualities for the coin to earn the designation.
A video of the coin can be seen on eBay (or YouTube SAMS Coins and Heavy Metal):

If this coin were graded by ANACS, they would almost surely note the one sided PL quality, as that is something they do; and if it were graded by NGC, they often give the star designation for a coin with great eye appeal and one side having being PL/DMPL, or having great toning
Personally, I prefer it to be labeled PL or not, and two sides make a coin. But, that doesnt stop the reverse from having amazing eye appeal and being super pleasing to look at! Surely a top end coin for the assigned grade.
