1881-S Morgan Silver PCGS MS64 X-Hallmark 64 Glassy Reflective Luster Looks Gem
Beautifully glassy, reflective luster on this 1881-S Morgan Silver Dollar just back from PCGS where it was crossed from an old Hallmark (x-PCI) Green Label 64 holder to this PCGS 64 holder
As far as surface quality goes, there are very few contact marks, primary or secondary areas - very clean surfaces
As far as strike goes, razor sharp with great feather definition on the eagle breast, neck and claws and the hair and ear on Lady Liberty are bold and fully defined.
As far as luster goes, this coin has wonderful, somewhat of a cameo effect with moderate to strong reflective properties, close to PL. Full cartwheel luster - bold and free flowing. Very appealing and pleasing
As far as eye appeal or toning goes, I would rate this very positive, maybe and 9+ on a scale of 1 to 10, but that is just my opinion.
I believe this coin could not be that far removed from the gem level or 65, but I also know how tough PCGS and NGC are on 1881-S Morgans.
Regardless of grade assigned, this is a PQ example that is sure to satisfy!
In case you are wondering, the coin has not been sent to CAC. I do not submit to CAC. Plus this coin has literally been graded in a PCGS holder for just a matter of days.
The coin in the photos is the exact coin you will receive.
