This date is fairly common across most grades, but it becomes scarce at the gem level (MS 65 and higher). It's large mintage stretched the dies, with the result that many examples are found with some of die erosion and granular surfaces. It's rare to find one with 13 completely formed stars and a full corn cob in the lower left of the wreath.
Several repunched date varieties are known for this date, but they elicit little interest. Far more compelling is a distinct doubled-die reverse most visible in the upper lettering. A lesser DDR variety is also known, but collector interst focuses on FS-801.
