This is a reproduction/replica of a 1893-S Morgan Dollar, that is marked 'COPY' on the reverse. The Morgan Dollars were minted from 1878 to 1921. In 1893, the San Francisco Mint only issued 100,000 Morgan dollars, which make it the lowest minted coin of the entire Morgan dollar series. Actual US minted coins of this series/mint/date are extremely rare making it an interesting specimen. The reproduction is made of copper with silver plating and weighs 22.42 +/- grams, and is 1.5 +/- ins in diameter.
