Item Description
Up for sale is a key date 1894 Canada 5 cent piece. With a mintage of just 500,000, this coin has a population of only 6 in VF35! With a nice circulated cameo, this coin is graded by PCGS and has the Gold Shield.
After doing population research, only 83 have been certified higher than this one, with a mere 99 in all grades! It is definitely a key date compared to mintages from surrounding years, totaling 3.2 million between 1893 and 1896.
Another fact is that this coin, after checking the NGC world coin guide, is tied with 1887 for 2nd lowest mintage. Only the 1884 has a lower mintage at 200,000.
This coin is priced for just $57 shipped.
