This 1894 Indian Cent is very strong at the grade Very Fine-20. Altough this coin has Two & One Half Diamonds full (from the top of the ribbon the first and fourth diamonds are full and the third shows half detail), the ribbon does slightly merge with the bottom hair curl. That knocks the coin out of XF. When you ad up that several of the lines and other detail are not full in the wreath along with the bottom hair curl below the ribbon being well worn this knocks the coin out Choice Very Fine (Vf-30). Nonetheless what you are buying here is a properly graded Very Fine and not an overgraded Extra Fine. As a plus this coin has well below the average amount of contact marks you would expect for a Vf-20. Shoot some uncirculated coins don't have surfaces this nice. Finally you cannot beat the uniform which is just a tiny shade darker than milk chocolate brown. (Stock #01c1894120 LZGRXV)
