This is a replica of the 1895 Morgan Dollar that is marked 'COPY' on the reverse. The coin has a reeded edge like the standard-issue Mint coin. The 1895 Dollar was issued by the Philadelphia Mint but only 880 coins were minted at this location during 1895, and ALL of these were minted in PROOF condition. This is a way of owning a replica of this rare coin for filling a spot in a collection, or for educational purposes. The replica is made of copper with a silver plating and weighs 26.65+/- grams.
