Here is an 1895 P Liberty Nickel that has been on the receiving end of two unfortunate events. First, this coin has obviously seen the insides of many a pocket and is thus well-traveled. Second, it apparently has been a victim of the notorious "Wrap Machine" used to gather coins into rolls. Thus, although this coin was sent to PCGS for restoration, it wound up with a grade of G Detail. The damage of the wrap machine can be seen on the reverse where there is a concentric ring around the laurels. Another point of interest from the photos is that the front, like so many other coins, is slightly misaligned with the reverse, but in the opposite direction of most coins. PCGS (July/August 2021) indicates that a G 4 coin would be worth $10. However, because of an unfortunate accident, you can have this graded coin for only $6 (plus shipping).
This item is a part of a liquidation sale currently in progress and is priced to sell. Retirement looms and with no one else in the family interested in this pastime, it is time to find new homes for all of my coins. Please note that other avenues of liquidation are being explored so this particular item may not be around much longer.
To ensure delivery, this coin will be sent via Certified Mail.
Please note that the system is not structured to adjust the shipping charges unless I was selling several coins under a single listing. (I have not seen anyone on USACoinbook do this.) Thus, if you were to order multiple coins from me (each a different denomination/year/mint/grade/etc), you could be socked with what seems to be outrageous shipping costs. To overcome this, order all of the coins you want, but do NOT pay yet. I can then go in and adjust the invoice to bring the shipping costs to a more reasonable level. At this time you should pay me.
If paying by check or money order, this coin will be shipped once funds have cleared.
Thanks for looking.
