I think this could grade EF possibly AU. The coin is attractive and has eye appeal. Coin has been in storage for almost 30 years since purchased in the early 80s.
Pictures are worth 1000 words but here are my observations of the coin and why I think it may grade EF or as high as AU.
Obv: Some wear is evident on cheek & neck and there are contact marks on the field; no major nicks or scratches. There is clear detail for the eye, nose, lips, hair (including the small curl/lock above the eye), cotton leaves & bolls, and wheat grains. Clear "˜M' and rim beading is complete with little wear.
Rev: Minimal contact marks on the eagle and field. Clear and fine details on all parts of the eagle, including the transition area from the neck to the breast, breast feathers, talons, and the wreath. Some wear on eagle's breast feathers. There are no major nicks or contact marks on the coin's field. Rim beading is complete with little wear.
