1897-O Barber Quarter Key Date NGC G6 Original Surfaces Reverse Scratch
The 1897-O New Orleans Barber Quarter is one of the toughest semi key dates in the series. This one, graded NGC G6 has wonderful original surfaces, 2 bold, full rims and almost 4 letters of LIBERTY visible. There is a scratch on the reverse on the shield that in my opinion, probably should have caused the coin to be Details graded (I've seen much smaller scratches noted as scratched), but that is just my opinion. It could be the coin has been net graded from what wpould have been a VG grade as it is really close to VG if not fully VG, and the surfaces are as wholesome and original as they get. Its REALLY hard to find key date Barber Quarters with this kind of original surface quality.
