1898 $2.50 quarter eagle

This is an 1898 $2.50 liberty genuine gold coin that has been altered so that it can be attached to a tie or other parts of clothing.

The obverse of the coin is beautiful. The reverse has had a modification (shank) made so that the coin can be attached to an item like a tie, etc. The attachment on the reverse is made such that there is a space between the attachment and the coin.

Would be a nice gift to a loved one.
