This is a routine entry in the final decade of Liberty Head Nickel production. Its mintage was high, and the dies were run too long in many instances. While gems are not rare, collectors should seek pieces displaying sharp strikes and smooth fields not eroded by wearing of the die steel. The examples illustrated is quite sharp, featuring a full corn cob at the lower left of the wreath.
Varieties for this date include one with a triple-punched date, but the degree of separation is very slight.
